Dysgu Cymraeg · learn out loud
Learn a language the way people actually speak it.
A free, offline app that gets the words out of your mouth. A native or on-device voice, never a robot grading you. Welsh at its heart, and seven more languages beside it. No account, no ads, no streaks working you.
Free forever · no account · no tracking · open source
Reveal it, hear it in a real voice, then say it back. The app remembers what you know and brings it back at the right time.
What is Cymanfa?
Cymanfa is a free, open-source app for learning languages out loud. Welsh is at its heart, taught in both North and South dialects, alongside Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Catalan and Basque. It works fully offline, uses real and on-device voices, and takes nothing from you: no account, no ads, nothing tracking what you do.
Why it feels different
Made to serve you, not to farm you.
No streaks to guilt you, no leaderboard to chase, no data to sell. Just you, the words, and saying them out loud.
Real voices
Native recordings lead; an open voice fills the gaps, on your device. A machine never grades how you speak.
